Small gardens this Spring

We’ve been incredibly busy this Spring working on lots of small gardens around Melbourne.  Here are a few examples, the photo’s are quite raw as the work has only just been completed, but I think they are good examples of how to make the most of a small space.

Northcote garden.  Our client had just completed a renovation and the architect had formed up  the garden.  The paving was in place and we had large blocks of garden bed to work with.  To reflect the simplicity of the design we have installed mass planting at alternate heights.  The front garden had slightly more scope but I felt continuity was important and have continued the theme into the front garden.  The firewood stand reflects the detail in the renovation.
